Elliot W. Jacobs
Dr. Elliot William Jacobs is a born and bred New Yorker, having received his undergraduate degree from Queens College before continuing on to medical school at Mt Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He completed his residency at Mount Sinai as well, and continued with Mount Sinai until his post as Chief Resident. Before opening his private plastic surgery practice, Dr. Jacobs first served in the United States Air Force for two years.
In addition to being a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), Dr. Jacobs is also a certified Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as the International College of Surgeons, and is a member of Mensa.
Dr. Jacobs serves as an Honorary Police Surgeon for the New York City Police Department, and is also a Consultant in Plastic Surgery to the United Nations. He holds active licenses to practice medicine in California, Florida and New Jersey in addition to New York, and is also licensed to perform surgery in the Bahamas. Dr. Jacobs serves on the attending staff of a number of hospitals in the New York area, where he maintains an active teaching role for younger doctors just starting out.
Recognized by New York Magazine as a “Best Doctor,” Dr. Jacobs’ work has been profiled across a number of media outlets from ABC’s 20/20 to MTV, Good Morning America and The Doctors. He’s also presented numerous lectures around the world to professional groups as well as laymen.
